To ensure that an ESS installation passes compliance verification, the following mandatory requirements must be met. When you partner with National AC Rebates, we assist you by cross-checking these documents and photos while you are still on-site to ensure nothing is missed. Mandatory Forms: Three key forms must be signed to book-end the installation process: The Nomination Form signed by the homeowner/small business owner or authorised representative before any works commence. The Site Inspection Form signed by the licenced electrician. The Post-Installation Form signed by the homeowner/small business owner or authorised representative and the licenced refrigeration technician once the installation is finished. Geo-Tagged Photos: A minimum of nine (9) geo-tagged photos are required at specific intervals to prove the work happened at the correct address and met all standards. Pre-Install: Proposed locations or existing units, NMI (National Meter Identifier) During Install: Decommissioning Post Install: Installed units, compliance plates and disposal Final Documentation: A copy of the Customer Invoice and proof of payment must be provided to close out the claim.

Here's the No-BS truth: There isn't one "magic number" for all projects. The exact discount amount is dependant on the rebate. The rebate depends on; The location: Not all NSW postcodes will share the same calculation. The type, size and brand of the unit: Not all energy-efficient air conditioning systems are the same and because of that, high quality, energy-efficient systems will have a better calculation than a lessor quality and lower energy-efficient unit. Whether you are replacing an old system: Replacing an inefficient air conditioning system will have a higher estimated amount than installing a new energy-efficient system. Once you have been onboarded as an ESS-Accredited Installer, you will be provided access to EC Focus Calculator, which will provide the estimated rebate amounts, so you know how much discount you can offer before you quote.

As part of the IPART governance for the NSW Energy Savings Scheme (ESS), replacing or installing an air conditioner requires an electrical licence, not an air conditioning licence. Building Commission NSW advises that air conditioning licences allow only for repairs and replacement of parts. The customer must pay at least a minimum amount towards the installation cost. This minimum payment applies to each implementation. The minimum payment is: $200 for pool pump, air conditioner and water heater activities (Activity Definitions D5 and D16-D21) All minimum payments are excluding GST. Minimum payments cannot be reimbursed to the customer in any form. We recommend: Be Transparent: Make sure you have it clearly noted in your quoting terms and conditions that the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) discount has been factored on the agreement that the homeowner will sign and provide required documents.
